Based in the heart of America, Sporting KC operates from world-class facilities, including one of the most advanced soccer-specific stadiums in the U.S., and a state-of-the-art training center.
The Opportunity
Sporting KC was seeking a more secure and user-friendly way to manage access at both their training facility and adjacent 18,000-seat stadium. Their existing proxy card system posed usability and security challenges, especially for visiting teams who required temporary access. For their own players, the need to carry and keep track of physical cards was also particularly inconvenient. Thus, the organization wanted to improve safety while simplifying enrollment and eliminating the hassle of lost or shared cards.
How We Helped
SAFR SCAN was deployed across both perimeter and interior doors at the team’s training facility, replacing traditional access methods with fast, contactless facial authentication. The deployment extended to the stadium, securing interior and exterior back-of-house entry points, including locker rooms and other sensitive areas. The solution was designed to seamlessly accommodate their players, permanent staff and visiting personnel with ease.
