Customer Story: Secure Access in Action
Who They Are
A FinTech providing payment transactions in over 200 Countries and Territories for over 14K Financial Institutions and over 150M Merchants totaling an almost $16T in volume globally. They are one of the most trusted institutions in the world and obsess over the security of the information and the transactions they are entrusted to protect.

The Opportunity
The Client needed to replace its aging fingerprint-based biometric access control system(s) across its enterprise. The legacy systems are approaching end-of-life and cannot meet evolving security or usability expectations for their highly secure technology rooms which are considered to be critical infrastructure in many places. The company also sought to deploy a more modern, secure, and scalable solution for turnstiles to provide a frictionless access experience to its personnel. Further, their security department also sought to employ a solution that offered flexible deployment options to meet varying privacy regulations, reduce PACS deployment costs, and be fully integrated with its existing PACS, Video Surveillance, and Voice Communications systems.
How We Helped
SAFR SCAN was selected for its Facial Authentication capabilities, flexible verification options (reader, PIN, face, QR code and / or any combination thereof), built-in video camera, SIP intercom functionality, tailgating detection, and seamless PACS integration.
Our collaboration on deployment needs also addressed key privacy concerns through database management, intent-based authentication, and secure template-on-card functionality options. Supported by the Scan’s multitude of hardware, software, and communications features, including its integration with systems like Genetec RIO, the Client now has multiple and flexible deployment options that meet current requirements and provide alternatives for future deployments across its global enterprise.
The Impact
Strong user adoption allowed the organization to move quickly from an opt-in model to broad, everyday use—accelerating its ability to deliver more secure and convenient access across key facilities. And, what began as a privacy-conscious rollout is now a seamless part of daily operations. The customer now has a more scalable, future-ready access control system that’s easier to enroll, manage, and deploy whether as an FA reader only or a versatile PACS, Surveillance, and Voice Communications solution.
